Tomorrow is....

Administrative Professionals Day!!

"Administrative Professionals Day will mark its 60th anniversary on April 25, 2012. Over those decades, the job of an administrative professional has changed dramatically thanks to new tools, techniques and seismic shifts in the economy and culture itself. But admins have remained the steady center of efficiency through it all, helping ensure that jobs get done right, on time and under budget. Admins are one of the engines of business, particularly in a complex economy. In a world that demands the accurate and speedy movement of digital information, admins are masters of data. And they do this while maintaining their more traditional role as the gatekeepers for many customers, clients and employees. Quite simply, admins are the pulse of the office."-IAAP

Although I am retired, I still want to recognize three women I had the pleasure of working with for many, many years, who have been and will be always the "pulse of the office" in my mind!!  They epitomize a true administrative professional!!!  Thank you ladies for all you did and/or do to make things run so smoothly for so many!  Miss you and love you all!!

Come On In For Some Coffee!!

Okay, so this weekend I was thinking about what I could add to my blog to make it a little more interactive.  My thoughts took me back to years ago when neighborhood women use to get together at someone's  house for coffee and chats.  It was a time to catch up on what was going on, talk about children/family, vent or just enjoy time together.  Nothing fancy....just conversation over a cup of coffee.

In this day and time, I've seen senior citizens still having coffee together at the local Hardee's!  Even though I am classified as a senior citizen by some stores/orgainizations (55 and older), I haven't yet visited the local Hardee's for coffee chats!  It's not an ego thing...just not where I go to have coffee chats!!  Not just yet!!!! Lol!

Anyway....I decided I'd have my own version of coffee chats right here on the web.  What I envision...just people stopping by to chat for a little while (maintaining a "G" rating because that's what my blog rating is!) on Mondays.  I'd love to hear about a place you visited, a good book to read, the latest movie you've seen, a special event going on in your life....whatever you want to share.  All you need to do is click on the comment box and add your conversation.  I'll respond with a comment in my comments box (you can subscribe to have comments of this post emailed to you so you see my response).  It's that easy!!!  (Now, I do preview comments....so if it gets above the "G" rating...it won't be shown in the comments.)

So grab your cup of coffee, take a seat and let me hear what's going on with you today!!!    You're welcome to come for coffee on Mondays!!
