Ole'!!!

Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?  I did and it was so much fun!  We have a wonderful Mexican Restaurant in our town...Mi Casa.  Let me tell you...they are awesome to work with when arranging a time for a group to come for lunch or dinner.

The Ladies of Harley group wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, so I contacted Jaime (he's one of the owners) to find out if they'd have space for us on May 5th. " No problem", he said..."just call me before you leave and we'll have everything ready."  Sure enough when I called to tell him we'd need space for 18 people, everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived ( 1 1/2 hours later because we had to do some back country motorcycle riding first)!!!

If you haven't tried this restaurant...you are missing delicious food, great service and friendly people.  We'll definitely go back again!!

Out and About!

Last Saturday six women traveled to Seagrove, NC for a day of pottery shopping.  It was a gloomy, rainy day but that didn't stop us from enjoying a girl's day out.  My friend, Karen, planned the trip for our Ladies of Harley group and it was such a great day.  We visited 4 local potters and also stopped by Seagrove Pottery to view the wares of 60 local potters.
Seagrove, NC is home to over 100 pottery studios and if you've never been, you need to plan a visit.  This area has been home to local potters since the 1700's! You can visit the NC Pottery Center to learn about the history of the earthenware created in Seagrove.  Then you can use the map to stop by all the studios to visit with the potters and view their beautiful creations!  I doubt you'll be able to leave without at least one purchase!!

Yep, They're Classy 'N Sassy!!!!

The Salisbury HOG Chapter Ladies of Harley are an awesome group of women!!  I have the pleasure of working with these women this year and I am so excited.  We started a community service project called "Scent of an Angel" and we've had tremendous support from our HOG Chapter members...they've provided all types of shampoos, conditioners, lotions, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more to the Ladies of Harley.

In turn, we package the items into small bags and then donate the bags to various groups in the area in need of these items.  It's a small way to help others and these "Classy 'N Sassy" ladies have already stepped up to the plate!!!  Last night we made 40 packages to be distributed this week and we've only been collecting items for 2 months!!!!  So there will definitely be more bags to assemble in the months to come. These ladies totally rock!!!
