Seriously Thursday?! One More Time!!

Seriously???!I've been wiped out from all the refurbishing work and Christmas activities for 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!  Time to get back to work!

Seriously???!I'm ready for some snow!!! Last year's snow storm spoiled me...hope we don't have to wait until February!!

Seriously???!I'm in trouble...I found all these DIY decorating blogs and the things they've done to "refurbish" their homes are incredible.  Should make for an interesting 2012 around here to say the least!

Seriously?! Thursday...Whew!

Seriously???!Why is it you can start off with so much enthusiasm and energy for a project and then get so tired of it after only a few days???  How in the world do those guys paint day in and day out for a living??? Where is that paint fairy??????

 Seriously???!If you've never seen a Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert you need to get you some tickets and go!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Great music, laser lights, dancing and special effects!!!  Just awesome! Plus for every ticket sold, $1.00 is donated to a local charity.  Last night $12,500.00 was donated to Operation Smile!

Seriously???!Why does December seem to fly by???  I mean...17 days till Christmas???  You've got to be kidding me!!

Seriously Thursday?! Take Twelve!!

Seriously???!I've been invaded by men this week and it has not been very quiet around my house.  Saws buzzing, hammers pounding, boards clanking, nail guns clapping...between the new hardwood floors and the new railing going up on the front porch...it's been a tad noisy and it's only 8:30 AM!!!

Seriously???!Do you make lists?  Well in my family, I'm known as post-it note queen because wherever you look there's a post-it list hanging in...the car, bathroom mirror, fridge, computer...geez they are everywhere!!!  As if that isn't bad enough, I'm now making a list of all the projects I want completed around my house in the next few weeks and in 2012!!!!!  Hey, a girl's gotta do whatever she can to keep that crown!!!!

Seriously???!I am not a Black Friday shopper....never have been and hopefully never will be!!!  I am not into crowds, shoving and pushing, hanging out in the cold or crazy shoppers!!!  Nope, I'll just be content to shop online......it's much safer these days!!!

Seriously???!Tornadoes in November???  Goodness, such devastation can happen when a tornado comes through!  My thoughts are with those displaced, injured or affected by last night's tornado in our area and other areas of the South.

Seriously???!Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week???  I mean, Halloween was just the other day...wasn't it????  It is unreal how quickly the weeks pass at this time of the year!!!

Seriously???!Tomorrow is Veterans Day. I'd like to take this time to thank all those who have served our country in the United States Armed Forces protecting the freedoms we all experience today. I'd also like to thank all those currently serving  our country in the United States Armed Forces for their dedication and love for our country. Seriously???!I am so glad Harley Man decided to get a second opinion on the washing machine!!!!! It's back up and running as I type!! Doesn't take much to make me smile these days!! :)

 

Seriously???!I do not like when people tell lies!!  Remember the repairman who came to diagnose what was wrong with my washing machine and only spent 10 minutes (for $85.00) to make a diagnosis the transmission was going out on the washing machine???  Remember Harley Man took that same machine for a diagnosis elsewhere..well, the verdict from that repairman was a block needing repair which cost $60.00 (thank goodness) not the transmission!!  Anyway, Harley Man went back to the original business (which I will not name because that's how I roll) to discuss what repairs actually had to be done on our washing machine and to let them know we wanted our $85.00 back (because the repairman was incorrect and didn't do a complete inspection of the washing machine). Here's where the lies come in...the repairman (who I stood right next to and watched the whole time) had the nerve to say he saw fluid coming out of the machine and he'd pulled the machine out and looked under it, took off the back, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh no he didn't??????????  When Harley Man told me this, my blood began to boil (it takes quite alot to make me that way) because I saw exactly what he did and that sure as heck wasn't true!!!!  I may have blonde highlights in my hair but I am not dumb or blind!!  Harley Man had me type up exactly what the repairman did on his diagnosis visit and is going back with my account of what happened!!!  Geez people, when you do something...own up to it!!!!  Don't lie about it...especially when I was right beside you watching what you were doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously???!I love the smell of cinnamon!!!!!  No matter what time of year it is...I'd pick cinnamon air fresheners over any other scent! While at Wal-Mart, I was looking around for some Thanksgiving decorations for my dining room table and what to my wandering eyes did I spot.....cinnamon pine cones!!! Oh my goodness...they smell divine!!  So I purchased a bag to use as table decorations!!!  Yep, for Thanksgiving! My house smells awesome!!!  Call me crazy, I don't care...I love the smell!! I'll be going back after Thanksgiving to purchase several more bags for Christmas!!

Seriously???!I have decided it's time to purge and get rid of lots of stuff I don't really need. It's a mammoth task to undertake but I must do it!!!  One of my goals for next year is to live in an uncluttered environment!!  Less is more, right????  Right!!!  I can do this, I can do this!!!! :)

Seriously???!Thoughts go out to all those affected by the "Snowtober Storm" in the Northeast.  Can you believe some areas had as much as 30 inches of snow????  We've had ice storms resulting in no power for almost a week....so I know how miserable it is for them at this point.  So glad they are finally getting things back to normal even if it's been slow going!!!



Seriously???!The news stories about Kim Kardashian's impending divorce from Kris Humphries are insane!!!!  I mean....geez, there are so many more issues that deserve the publicity!!  Enough said!!

Seriously???!I love Christmas as much as the next person but......Enough with the Christmas ads already!!!!  It's November...early November so let's enjoy the upcoming Thanksgiving Season minus all the Christmas hype for once!!!!!

Seriously???!Thank goodness I wasn't the only one voicing outrage over the debit card fees!!!The "banking world" has come to its senses about charging to use a debit card!!!  Just watch out....they'll continue to try to find ways to make new charges happen....just not as obvious to their customers!!!! 

Seriously???!Looking forward to my cooking lesson with Bman today!!!  She is doing such a great job and I am so proud of her for such a "can do" attitude!!!

Seriously???!It's been such fun going to KK's volleyball games!!!  Prissy and Avett Man have lots to be proud of...a great team effort they've had about this sport!!!!  What great role models they are for KK!!!

Seriously???!Shopping with my daughters is such a treat these days!!!  Gone are the days of  "Are we finished?", "I'm tired!", "Can't we just go to the toy department?", etc.(complaints that came from them when they were much younger)  No longer a chore, shopping is now an adventure we all love!!

Seriously???!Not sure what is going on with Dancing With The Stars this season????  Good dancers are voted off....not so good dancers are voted to stay!!!  Seriously...what's up with this, ABC?????

Seriously???!I love costumes!!!  Yep, it's true!  So yesterday I went to Spirit Halloween to check out some costume ideas I have for the Tour Pak or Treat Day we're having on October 29th.  Now, I'm sure those cute tiny little costumes teens love to wear are perfect for them (I don't think so) but can't they stock at least some really cool costumes that are more appropriate when giving out candy to little ones????  I mean, seriously....I need to cover my "bootie" for lots of reasons!!!

Seriously???!We had a great time at the NC Seafood Festival last weekend!!!  I rode my motorcycle down to Salter Path, sampled new wines at the Seafood Festival, ate Seaspuds and Low Country Boil, travelled on a ferry, visited Beaufort, ate hot dogs in Davis, NC and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather with some fantastic H.O.G. friends!!

Seriously???!People need to be aware of what they say to others!!  No matter your shape or size, every person is beautiful.  We need to quit obsessing about being so thin, wrinkle free and looking perfect!!!  We need to realize we are amazing...no matter what!! So here's to all my beautiful woman friends:

A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and b...eautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:

Seriously???!I so want to go to a pumpkin patch this year!!  I think my age is starting to reverse and I'm headed back to my much, much younger years!!  Lol!!!

Seriously??!Some banks have now decided they are going to start charging a monthly $5.00 for me to use my bank card???  I always do debit...so you think it's okay to charge me for paying with my money from my account??? I don't think so!!!  I'll be looking for a new bank, for sure, if that happens!!

Seriously???!Here is a great opportunity for my teacher friends... !!!  Danimals Rally for Recess gives schools an opportunity to win the "Ultimate Playground"!  Go check it out teacher friends...we all know how important recess is for children!!

Seriously???!I know we need the rain but I'd really appreciate it holding off until Sunday! The Biker Blues and BBQ Rally starts tomorrow and we really need a "no rain" policy!!!  So here's hoping the rain moves out quickly...fingers crossed!

Seriously???!I am all for change.  Change happens...it's a fact of life but.....Facebook has added a few new features I find quite annoying!!!  I want that ticker to disappear!!!  I don't need it, don't want to see it, find it useless.  So Facebook....get rid of that ticker!!!!!!

Seriously???!When it's pouring down rain on the interstate so much you can't even see, people need to SLOW DOWN!  Nothing is worth causing a wreck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously???!My youngest daughter will be 28 years old soon!!!  Good grief, where does the time go???

Seriously???!I am so ready for some autumn weather!!!  The summer months this year have been unbearable at times and I just love days where the temp falls somewhere in the 70's!  Bring it on!!

Seriously???!"Dancing With The Stars" is going to be interesting this season!!  I'm not one to watch a ton of tv but I do have a couple of favorites I watch and this is one of them.  Season 13...who would have guessed!!! :)

Seriously???!September is my birthday month!!!  I'll be 58 years young this month!!!  Which means.....only two more years and I'll be celebrating the BIG "60"!  Whoop, Whoop!!!

Seriously???!Two Illinois "twenty-something" kids suing their mom for not giving them birthday money or sending care packages while they were in college????  Enough said!!!

Seriously???! I love having lunch with friends!  It is so nice to have a leisurely lunch....heaven knows that never happened when I was teaching all those years!! Lol!

Seriously???! I am so excited about my back to school posts!  I enjoy sharing information with my teacher friends...even if I am retired!  As they say..."once a teacher, always a teacher"!!

Seriously???! I can't wait to see the movie "The Help"!  I am just so disappointed some people feel the need to make a controversy about everything.  I thought the book was fabulous and had such a great message....why do people have to read so much into everything????

Seriously???! I am hooked on the show "MasterChef"!  Now Gordon Ramsay certainly does not have a pleasing personality...but I do have to give him kudos for this show!  Especially when they gave Tracy the chance to go to cooking school and the opportunity to work in one of their restaurants in the future!!  How cool is that???

Seriously???! During the intense heat plaguing so many parts of the country, everyone needs to be careful.  Especially if you have a child training outdoors for a sport at this time of the year!

Seriously???! It's August???  I don't know about you...but it seems, to me, each year the summer months go by faster and faster!! 

Seriously???! I could spend hours...no days...in Barnes & Nobles!  Love me some books!!  Yesterday was glorious because I spent some time at a local B&N with Bman!  Two birds of a feather..that we are!!

Seriously???! What is up with people and their driving??  Good grief...everybody is always in such a hurry to pass you...only to end up being stopped by a traffic light two seconds later.  Guess they just wanted to be first at the traffic light!!  Go figure????

Seriously???! I am so looking forward to some sand and sun (beneath a great big tent)!  Love the beach....early morning coffee on the deck, evening walks on the beach, lazy days in the sun reading a "beach book", crazy family time!!!  Love it!! It could only get better if there's a break in the intense heat while I'm there...then it would be perfection!

Seriously???! I am super excited for a teacher friend...she was chosen to be a "Teacher Ambassador" for Leap Frog!!!  She headed to San Francisco this week to get the latest tech info from Leap Frog.  Way to go, Sharon!!!

Seriously???! My teacher buddies now know why I was so anal about End of Grade Testing and the procedures being followed to the letter.  Enough said!!!!
