When It Rains, It Pours!!!

It's been an interesting weekend around here!!!  You know the old saying...when it rains, it pours???  Yep, that was my weekend!!

1.  My washing machine began to make this awful noise any time the spin cycle began or ended.  So...the repairman came out to let me know his thoughts...transmission going bad (that's what he said) and then I wrote my check for the $85 service call which lasted less than 10 minutes!!!!  Harley Man didn't like the repairman's thoughts so he called someone else and my machine is now there for a diagnosis!!!  Repair bill or new washing machine...what a choice!!!

2.  Now we had to disconnect the water hoses from the washer so it could be moved to the van for transporting to the "washing machine diagnosing center" Saturday morning.  Well...the darn cold water faucet would not turn off!!!!!  As soon as Harley Man started to loosen the hose...water spewed everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!  He made multiple attempts to turn it off and of course water spewed everywhere with each attempt!! After a trip to Lowe's to purchase a shutoff valve, we finally managed to get the hoses disconnected.  Yep...spent my time mopping up water!!!

3.  Next (oh yes, there's more), I receive a call which informs me due to updated building codes, our front porch steps are not up to code!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We need to have railing put up because the steps are higher than 3 feet in some areas.  Never mind these are the same steps we've had for almost 30 years!!!That's what I get for wanting a review of our policy (that's a story in itself and I won't even go there)!!  So, another visit to Lowe's was in order to figure out which railing and how much the railing will cost!  Geez...our weekend was getting expensive!!!

4.  Then... I opened a letter and it's saying we have to have the railing up by mid-November!!!!!  What the Heck????  We were told we had until the end of November!!!!!  Yep, when it rains, it pours!!!!
