These Shoes Are Made For Walking???????

Do you own shoes like these??? 

Sunday I had the opportunity to do a little "people watching" while waiting to be seated in a restaurant.  Have you ever watched ladies walking in those high heeled shoes that are currently the rage?  No??  Well I did and believe me it was quite interesting.  Now I have nothing against those ladies nor their choice of shoes....I just didn't see any of them walking in a normal manner.  Legs were bent, bodies were leaning forward, shoes were tilted to the side, limping was happening quite often...it was less than elegant!!!  Not sure why women put themselves through such an ordeal but to each his own.

Out and About!

Last Saturday six women traveled to Seagrove, NC for a day of pottery shopping.  It was a gloomy, rainy day but that didn't stop us from enjoying a girl's day out.  My friend, Karen, planned the trip for our Ladies of Harley group and it was such a great day.  We visited 4 local potters and also stopped by Seagrove Pottery to view the wares of 60 local potters.

Seagrove, NC is home to over 100 pottery studios and if you've never been, you need to plan a visit.  This area has been home to local potters since the 1700's! You can visit the NC Pottery Center to learn about the history of the earthenware created in Seagrove.  Then you can use the map to stop by all the studios to visit with the potters and view their beautiful creations!  I doubt you'll be able to leave without at least one purchase!!
