Polar Bear Ride 2012

Yep, on January 1st we did it again...the annual Polar Bear Ride was a go for our H.O.G. Club.  We had a large group of motorcycle riders again this year...I didn't count bikes but I'm estimating we had about 35+ bikes and over 50 people.  I rode with Harley Man this year and the weather really wasn't "polar"...it was around 55 degrees.

Once again we descended upon Denton, NC to eat at The Classic Restaurant....so did everybody else in the surrounding area!!!  LOL!  We had our traditional southern meal....ham, fat back, turnip greens, blackeyed peas, cornbread, banana pudding and more.  In the South we eat these items for a reason: pork for progress; greens for prosperity, blackeyed peas for good luck!!! 

We had a wonderful time full of food, fellowship, fun and of course.....riding!!

Monday Musings!!!

I found this quote this morning and I love it! So with this quote in mind, I'm starting my Life List this week and hope to share it on a new page tab once I've written down a few things I want to accomplish.  I know lots of people have Bucket Lists and then there's the Infinity List but I've decided a Life List is just the right ticket to begin 2012!!!  Here's an example from one of the blogs I read: Lovely Life List.

And Off I Go.....

First step in simplifying my life....a new haircut.  Nope not a trim but........ a cut it all off haircut!!!!!!!!!  Talk about simple...wash, blow dry just a tad and it's done!!!  I haven't had hair this short since my girls were very young!!  So...I'm having to learn how to do some different styles and as Jen (my hairdresser) told me, give my hair time to be trained.  One thing's for sure....riding on my motorcycle with a helmet on will mean no tangles, no ponytails, no nothing!!!!  Harley Man told me if I keep getting my hair cut it will soon be shorter than his!  No worries...I have to get use to it this short first.

New Year, New Journey!!!  Simplify, Simplify, Simplify!!!  Lol!!!
